Sometimes its scary running random chemicals in your aquarium when you have some really nice corals, invertebrates, and fish. Especially when the cost can be high for these beautiful creatures. If you don't take care of an Aiptasia problem before it gets out of control, you could wind losing corals, small invertebrates, and fish. Aiptasia have a pretty nasty sting and react really quickly to touch. If you irritate them in any way while your hands are in the tank, you can get a really irritating rash just by the chemicals released into the water. One of the best ways to take care of this problem would be to get Peppermint Shrimp. Peppermint shrimp may not eat or kill any large overgrown Aiptasia but they really like the small to medium sizes. Keep in mind that there are false peppermint shrimps out there in the world. True Peppermint Shrimp have a red tail and red stripes running down. False Peppermint shrimp have a blue or black tail. Don't be fooled!
